Visitors

Families and friends play an important part in helping loved ones feel at home so we extend a warm welcome whenever you wish to visit. We try, within limits, to have an open door policy and unrestricted visiting times for family and friends so that everyone within the family will come to view the Manor as home- and feel part of an extended family.

We have a Garden Room which has a kitchen area for you to help yourself to tea and coffee if you wish to be independent, and have a tea time with your resident. This is particularly so on warm days when you can enjoy sitting in the enclosed garden.

Whilst mealtimes are usually respected as times for non visiting, we welcome requests from families and special friends to join their loved one at a meal, providing we have notice.

The main mealtimes are:

Breakfast: 8.00 -10.30 am

Lunch: 12.45 – 13.45pm

Supper: 17.30 – 18.30pm

Events Days

We try to keep family and friends informed of special events so that everyone has the opportunity to feel part of our community. The Annual Summer Garden Party is usually the highlight when we have the Aylsham Band play on the lawns and families and friends can relax and enjoy themselves whilst we try to raise funds for a worthy cause.

Our Christmas Panto/Party (produced by the staff), The Womens’ World Day of Prayer Service, The MacMillan Nurses Coffee Morning, and The Easter Bonnet Staff Sing a Long also give you the opportunity to socialise with us. You might also like to help to take residents out to the theatre or on trips. It all helps us to feel part of the community.

Our last Macmillan Nurses Biggest Coffee Morning event raised £230 for MacMillan Nurses and last year’s summer garden party raised £700 for East Anglian Childrens Hospice.
